Overview

Neta AI is an AI-powered packaging intelligence platform that helps enterprise brands manage complex packaging regulations (such as EPR, PFAS, and recyclability) while identifying cost-saving opportunities. Our team worked on the Compliance Review & Task Workflow, one of three key problem areas alongside SKU page redesign and the marketing website.

The existing product lacked actionable clarity, users could see compliance issues but had no structured way to review findings, document decisions, or track next steps. Our work focused on transforming this into an action-driven workflow, introducing a clearer audit trail, structured review states, and task tracking. The goal was to shift from passive data display to a system that enables teams to actively manage, collaborate on, and resolve compliance work.

Working closely with the founder gave me a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how a startup actually shapes its product. Through these conversations, I began to understand how fluid the idea of “feasible” really is and how much of product design exists in that space of negotiation between different teams, priorities, and constraints. Having direct access to stakeholders meant I wasn’t designing in isolation. I could question assumptions early, understand the “why” behind decisions, and design with real context. More than anything, this experience showed me that product design is as much about listening, aligning, and making trade-offs as it is about creating solutions.
